FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EAGLE POINT, OREGON – Monday, February 9, 2015

The Ethan Jostad Foundation for Childhood Cancer, a 501c3 non-profit charity dedicated to providing support to the children and families affected by childhood cancer, announced the details today for it's 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Saturday, June 13th at the Eagle Point Golf Course in Eagle Point, Oregon.

"Our events in previous years have raised approximately $45,000," said Kim Jostad, Co-Founder and President of the foundation. She added, "With this support we have been able to fund cutting-edge clinical research for difficult to treat pediatric cancers, sponsor three children through the Southern Oregon Sparrow Clubs, and provide financial assistance and toy packages to over 100 families throughout the United States who are impacted by childhood cancer."

"We are anticipating about 200 or more golfers this year," said Chris Jostad, Co-Founder and President of EJF.  Jostad continued with, "It's going to be another great year and we're excited to put on another tournament to help these kids and their families who are impacted by this horrible disease. Our hope is to continue to partner with businesses in the local community to make this year another successful event ."

The foundation welcomes any and all businesses and organizations to participate and sponsor the event. The golf tournament is the largest golf event of the year for the Eagle Point Golf Course and is increasing in popularity every year. It is the foundation's largest fundraiser with all proceeds raised directly benefiting the charity in their efforts to assist children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

The format for the tournament is a 4-player Scramble with both morning and afternoon tee times available. Prizes include a Hole-In-One contest for a new car, Longest Drive and Closest To The Pin contests, in addition to prizes for the winning and losing teams. A Silent Auction will take place along with a 50/50 raffle and additional raffles for gift baskets and door prizes. A light breakfast and a lunch will also be served. More information about the tournament, including online registration and sponsorships can be found on the foundation's website at www.ethanjostadfoundation.org/golf .

ABOUT THE ETHAN JOSTAD FOUNDATION FOR CHILDHOOD CANCER

The Ethan Jostad Foundation was established by Kim and Chris Jostad in October of 2011 in the memory of their son Ethan, who passed away at the young age of 9 from Stage IV Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive form of soft tissue sarcoma cancer. During his two year battle with cancer, Ethan's story became an inspiration to hundred of thousands of people and opened the eyes of many to the plight of children and families who are impacted by pediatric cancer.

The mission of the Ethan Jostad Foundation for Childhood Cancer is to continue Ethan's legacy by providing love, hope, and support to the children and families who continue to fight every day. In addition to funding cutting edge pediatric cancer research, our foundation brings smiles to the faces of children fighting cancer by providing toy packages to children nationwide who are in active treatment, and by providing much needed financial assistance to those families in Oregon. The Ethan Jostad Foundation was voted a Top Charity in 2012 by Chase Community Giving and actively supports and partners with other childhood cancer charities and organizations with the singular goal of finding cures.
